Many of the trees we sell are too large to be conveniently handled manually, and we offer installation services for such items. We use “Bobcat” skid-steer loaders extensively around our nursery and on landscape projects, as well as for installing larger trees.
Our installation fees are very reasonable and our sales associates can provide a “ballpark estimate” of labor costs to install most of our trees and larger evergreens. We invoice, upon completion, for the costs of labor and equipment hours, plus amendments, such as peat moss and fertilizers, that we use during installation.
The installation estimations we provide are accurate in typical circumstances, but please keep in mind that the estimated install price may increase due to extra time spent on site. If our crew runs into obstacles such as extensive roots, irrigation, small fence openings, inclines/declines, etc., the final installation price may increase by 20-30%. Please alert a Garden Center associate to any of these obstacles prior to installation.
If you are considering the purchase of a large tree, avoid struggling to handle a 300 lb. rootball and ask for an estimate of cost for installation. We will plant your tree properly and give you instructions on watering and care. Doing it right is what we are all about.
